CONTROLLED 3

Loving An Alpha Male

Excerpt

Nyla could feel them getting closer. She concluded it was them and not it by sheer imagination. She could feel their breaths on her neck, taunting her. She was going to die out here alone. Her mind immediately went to her daughter. Who would protect her? Would Robert take care of her or would he leave her. Would Andrew take her?  Her thoughts shifted to Andrew. Andrew…

Nyla could feel her body begin to shut down, she couldn’t run anymore she knew it. She honestly thought that they were playing with her, toying with her. They could have easily caught up to her and killed her.

Nyla noticed something in the distance coming straight for her. Her eyes grew wide and she pulled up and stopped running. It was over. They had surrounded her. There was nowhere to go. Tears started to fill her eyes. Her body racked with horror, she screamed just as the red eyes of the darkest wolf she had ever seen appeared in front of her. It leaped for her and she ducked and fell to the ground, rolling until she came to a stop, hitting her head on a rock. Her shocked eyes immediately closing, but not before seeing the black wolf attack the brown one chasing her.

Nyla could hear growling, bones breaking, and yelps of pain. She slowly opened her eyes and tried to see in the dark but could only make out shapes. Wolves the size of mini coops were everywhere, clawing at each other, biting and ripping body parts. She had only seen this much carnage in the movies. Was this just a dream? She saw the black wolf that saved her fighting a beautiful white wolf, it’s pure colorless fur now drenched in crimson. The familiarity of the black beast hit her again. It was as if she knew it. She felt it deep in her core. She couldn’t understand why. Then she did.

She felt him. She felt Andrew.

She called to him but not with her mouth, but her mind. And suddenly the black wolf turned in her direction, his red eyes looking right at her. Just then darkness took over.
